Building & Safety Division

The Building & Safety Division is comprised of a dedicated and knowledgeable team of professionals responsible for monitoring and enforcing all building safety codes and regulations to protect the health, safety, and general welfare of the community. The services and functions provided by this division include the following:

  • Provide customers with needed information and direction on land development questions
  • Ensure that new improvements meet construction standards through plan check review
  • Ensure that new improvements comply with approved plans through building inspection
  • Regular coordination with regional and state agencies

Counter Services

General questions and inquiries can be directed to our customer service center staff at 951-304-2489 or visit us in person at 1Town Square. Counter office hours are as follows: 

Monday through Thursday
7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
(We do not process permits or plan review submittals after 4:00 p.m.)

Alternating Fridays
8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m
(We do not process permits or plan review submittals after 3:30 p.m.)

Inspection Services

Schedule an inspection by completing our Building Safety Inspection form, call us at 951-461-6050 or visit our offices at 1Town Square. Inspector in-office hours are as follows: 

Monday through Thursday

Alternating Fridays

7 a.m. to 8 a.m.

3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

7 a.m. to 8 a.m.

2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
