The Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire at approximately 6:15 a.m. this morning in the 22000 block of Joaquin Ridge in the Copper Canyon area.  The single family residence was fully involved when the first units arrived on scene. Eighteen firefighters from the Murrieta Fire Department responded along with one engine from CAL-Fire.

Despite an agressive initial attack by firefighters there was full involvement and roof penetration, and as a result the structure was a total loss. 

There were no injuries with the incident and there was no vegetation or brush involvement with this fire. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
